Welcome to the first entry into the Urban Elementary Scientist! It is my hope that this blog will be a place for educators and scientists to discuss, share, complain, and praise any and all things in elementary level science education in urban areas. Hopefully, it will lead to a frank examination of what works, how we can improve instruction and student learning, and how educators can better prepare themselves to teach K-5 science.
